Man The Musical

In May 2022, I saw a musical at a tiny venue in Melbourne. It was way too long & very rough around the edges. It was also the most hilarious, heartwarming show I'd seen since Book of Mormon. One thing led to another, and I found myself part of the creative team.

From honing the script until it shone, to designing and deploying the marketing, I used every trick in the creative agency playbook to transform The Marvellous Elephant Man from a totally unknown play into a critically acclaimed, sell-out musical sensation.

Elephant Man 2.0 launched at the Adelaide Fringe in March 2023, where it received rave reviews and won the Critics' Circle Award. Further sell-out, critically-acclaimed performances followed at Melbourne's Chapel Off Chapel. The 2023 run finished with The Marvellous Elephant Man headlining the Sydney Fringe at the 450-seater Spiegeltent, where it received national media attention and a grand total of over 30 ★★★★★ reviews.
